URGENT UPDATE (POSTED 14 MARCH 2020): The following message was sent out by our coordinator today re: Sunday Masses during the period of the community quarantine of Metro Manila.
The Bishop of the Military Ordinariate (MoP) has issued guidelines on how the MoP should address the Government’s call for Community Quarantine of Metro Manila, based on the recommendations of CBCP Circular 20-10 dated March 10, 2020. All Military Chaplains were given prerogative on how to address the concerns w/regards their flock. The Military Chaplains of the Navy have joined hands with the Military Chaplains in the rest of the AFP to CANCEL ALL HOLY MASS scheduled in their respective Chapels until April 14. This therefore informs everyone that our SUNDAY HOLY MASS & BENEDICTION of REPARATION tomorrow March 15 is CANCELLED. The CBCP Circular 20-10 DISPENSES US from our SUNDAY HOLY MASS OBLIGATION but RECOMMENDS SPIRITUAL NOURISHMENT through PRAYERS. We may view a TLM via LIVE TELECAST or LIVE STREAMING if available. Let us SPEND OUR TIME in CONTINUOUS PRAYER for GOD’s MERCY and do ACTS of REPARATION to COMBAT this PESTILENCE that has COME UPON US. Let us PRAY for EACH OTHER’s HEALTH & SAFETY.
